Welcome to Brilliant Athlete -  Training Smarter!

The mission of "Brilliant Athlete" is to provide you with training and nutrition information that when followed, will vastly improve your performance.

Some of you are professional athletes, others college and high school stars.  Many of you are weekend warriors and fitness beginners.

All of you have, or have had, a common thread:  wanting to know how to train, and how to eat to get the results you want.  And to get the results without being stopped by injuries.

My name is Ashleigh Gass.  I have been in the Strength and Conditioning Field for about 10 years.  Having been an athlete my entire life, as well as having trained athletes, teams, and fitness beginners, I have noticed a pattern:

1.  Most athletes and teams begin training programs without understanding anything about what they are doing.  They head to the gym, determined to get bigger, stronger, and faster, and typically end up bigger, stronger, and slower, with stiff joints and sore backs.  Thinking this is a normal process of 'getting older', they keep going, until their high performance days come to a halt.

Worse still, there are usually qualified trainers right there beside them, designing these programs, unaware of the damage they are creating.  Not to say that this is the case 100% of the time - but in my experience, it happens a great deal.

2.  Fitness beginners set goals to improve their health, lose body fat, and get energy levels back again.  For a month or so, they are successful gym goers and vegetable eaters.  Then, slowly but surely, that old shoulder injury comes back, knees get sore, and lower backs get stiff.  Spinach slowly get replaced with peanut butter cookies until the day comes where they quit, thinking that this whole fitness thing is just a crock.

What's the deal with these two patterns?  Lack of knowing how to do what you know to be logical, really.

That's where Brilliant Athlete comes in.

Imagine a world where you knew how to train to get healthier, faster, stronger, leaner, AND prevent injuries.  No more hamstring pulls for you!

In this world, rather than jumping from one nutrition plan to another, taking random supplements and being confused most of the time, you also knew when and what to eat in order to really kick butt, improve your health, and feel amazing.

Now that would be Brilliant!

Well, that world is here, and now, and it is yours entirely.

I look forward to working with you.
