Getting Started Package: Products and Services
Recovery and Injury Prevention Package
One of the key components to long term success in the gym is keeping your body free of injuries. You can have the most wonderfully designed training program, combined with the best of intentions and hard work - but neither will do you any good if your body hurts. Stiff and sore joints, tendonitis, excessive muscle tension, back problems and shoulder pain will stop any and all gains in the gym.
Thus, injury prevention and recovery strategies need to be integrated into your training routine. My experience with clients has proven that both injury prevention, and recovery, are new concepts to most. However, once basic strategies are implemented, the improvement in people is awesome!
Here are the products, and reasons for inclusion, in the Recovery and Injury Prevention Package:
I've found this stretching strap to be superior to all other flexibility bands. Designed to be used as either a strap or closed loop system (where you don't have to fatigue your arms while using it) it does not slip, snap, break or lose its integrity over time. Even my most experienced clients who use different straps to stretch notice profound differences when they begin using this one.
This strap is very portable and can be packed around in your gym bag or taken anywhere you travel.
Foam rollers are most often used to reduce muscle and joint tension through the outside of thighs, quads, hamstrings, shins, glutes, chest, and lats (to name a few). Access to personal massage on a daily basis in unrealistic for most, but foam rolling is not. It is a cheap, extremely effective method to reduce and eliminate muscle and/or joint tension.
Foam rolling is very effective when combined with stretching techniques.
The posture ball is similar in purpose to the foam roller (muscle and joint tension reduction) but is very handy for 'nook and crannie' areas such as the groin, lats, posterior rotator cuff, chest/armpit area, deep gluteal area, neck, and sides.
I recommend having both the foam roller and posture ball, as you will use each for different areas of your body.
TRX Suspension Training Pro Pack
The TRX Straps are great for those of you on the road constantly. Train anywhere,
anytime with these.
The door anchor is necessary to use the straps indoors (if you don't have access
to phone poles, trees, or other stable outdoor objects to anchor the straps to).
