Training Levels

PROGRAM LEVEL 1 - Beginners

Level 1 Training is designed for individuals who are in the beginning stages of strength and conditioning. These individuals likely feel out of shape and may be intimidated by the prospect of beginning a weight-training program on their own. Level 1 Training is ideal for those seeking proper workout and nutritional guidance to achieve significant improvements in how they look, feel and perform. Brilliant Athlete provides the knowhow, and we hold our Level 1 clients accountable for their performance over time.

Level 1 individuals typically train 2-3 times weekly.  Our focus is on correcting imbalances that may have caused injuries in the past, developing flexibility, improving postural control, improving relative strength and learning key strength training movements.  Individuals who follow the full Level 1 program will lose body fat, gain muscle, and refresh their motivation to train again.

For our Level 1 clients, we recommend our Injury Prevention Starter Package and our Nutrition 101 Starter Package.

PROGRAM LEVEL 2

Level 2 training is designed for individuals who have completed level 1, or, who are working out consistently but not achieving the results they should be. This includes, but is not limited to body composition changes (increases in lean muscle mass, decreases in body fat), training results (strength and power gains, hypertrophy gains), and injury prevention (improving joint health, muscle tissue health, recovery and regeneration).

Level 2 training individuals typically train 2-3 times weekly and have developed independence in their training programs.

For our Level 2 clients, we also recommend our Injury Prevention Starter Package and our Nutrition 101 Starter Package.

PROGRAM LEVEL 3

Level 3 training is designed for individuals who have completed levels 1 and 2 or who have significant experience working out. These individuals want to fine-tune their training for specific results.  Advanced training and recovery strategies are used in level 3.  This level is appropriate for individuals who are actively competing in sport, preparing for figure or bodybuilding shows, and are very familiar with strength and conditioning protocols.

Level 3 training individuals train based on their program design, which changes based on each training phase.  Results at the end of this program include advanced knowledge and application of injury prevention techniques, training techniques for gains in the gym, achievement and maintenance of desired body composition.

For our Level 3 clients, we recommend our Injury Prevention Starter Package and our Nutrition 101 Starter Package.

NUTRITIONAL PROGRAM

The quality and consistency of an individual’s nutritional program will make or break the results in the gym or in athletic competition. That’s because exercise in the absence of nutritional intervention and education is ineffective for fat loss and muscle gain. Brilliant Athlete’s month-long nutritional educational program is designed to teach the foundational principles of effective nutrition.  The program is individualized based on the level of knowledge and experience of the individual.

Brilliant Athlete offers our nutritional education program as a stand-alone program, or as an important part of all our Training Level programs.

Program topics are pre-planned, however, are also adapted to suit individual needs, knowledge level and goals.

Topics include, but are not limited to:

- Taking a close look at the mistakes you, and most others are making that make fat loss IMPOSSIBLE.

- The various functions and importance of dietary protein (amino acids), fats, and carbohydrates in our body, and top food sources of each.

- Organizational skills necessary to plan, shop for, and prepare great tasting meals for fat loss, muscle gain, and improvement of health and energy.

- The importance of gut health for optimal digestion and absorption of food.  Extremely important for those of you with symptoms of 'heartburn' and reflux disorders.

- Common foods that may be doing you more harm than good if health, performance, and optimal recovery are your priorities.

- Basic understanding of your blood work, which will enable you to have informed discussions with your medical professional about your state of health.

INDIVIDUAL TRAINING SESSIONS

Individual training sessions are delivered on as 'as-needed basis- and are designed for individuals who have significant training experience.  These individuals may require consultation and small amounts of ‘hands-on work’ but are very independent in their training programming. Results from the individual training sessions include very clear understanding of what needs to be fine-tuned, how to fine-tune it, and how to integrate this information into lifestyle and/or sport scenario.
